“In August 2023 a local Fijian friend, who has become like family, overheard me bemoaning the fact that another proposed village stay I had hoped to attend had failed to eventuate. He suggested I go with him to spend a few days on Kioa Island where he has many relatives. It ended up being exactly the experience I was looking for, and there Village Stays Fiji was born.”

It includes all meals, activities, and seamless local transfers from our designated bus terminals to your chosen village. The first night is just FJ$450, with additional nights at a fantastic rate of FJ$150 each, as all transit and admin costs are already covered.
Activities available depend on the village and can include scenic jungle hikes, snorkelling, boat tours, fishing, basket weaving and more. Or you can relax on the beach or by the river!
Fijian people are incredibly welcoming and friendly. Expect lots of laughs and enthusiastic assistance every step of the way.
This is a remote village community support initiative.
Your initial spend for 1 night is FJ$450 and broken down as follows, all in FJ$. Keep in mind that each village has slightly different logistical challenges and costs, but this is a good indication.
The additional nights @FJ$150 sees 100% stay in the village as follows: $100/guest/night to the host family, and $50 for the village committee, guides and activities.
